Hey friends! I can’t believe how quickly this year is passing us by. March is almost over, and April is bringing some great new releases that I thought I would share with you today! Here are a few of the April 2019 releases I’m very much looking forward to reading!
Anticipated April Releases
» You Must Not Miss by Katrina Leno
This is easily one of my most anticipated of the year. I buddy read Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno with my absolute fave Mel @ Mel to the Any last year and really enjoyed it, and I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since. I don’t know much about it, apart from the fact it’s a revenge story and it’s lowkey magical realism. So excited! Release date: April 23rd.
» Miracle Creek by Angie Kim
Alright, this is 100% the book I’m most looking forward to in April. I haven’t seen much buzz about it, but I know it’s a literary courtroom drama and I am so ready. Courtroom dramas/legal dramas are my fave genre of TV show, and I always love books that have this element too, so I am more than excited to get my hands on this and read it as soon as it releases! Release date: April 16th.
» A Prince on Paper by Alyssa Cole
This is the 3rd and final(?) book in the Reluctant Royal series. I’ve read every book and novella in this series and have loved them all, so I cannot wait to read Nya and Johan’s romance. Johan was a character who really intrigued me in A Duke by Default, so I can’t wait to see what I think of this one. I already have it preordered and will probably devour it on my days off after its release! Release date: April 30th
» Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
This book is technically already out in the US, but it doesn’t release until next month here in Australia, so I’m still going to count this on my anticipated list. Queenie has received a bit of buzz since its release, and pitched as Bridget Jones’ Diary meets Americanah, it sounds like just my cup of tea. I’m hoping I love it as much as I’m expecting to, and as much as everyone else seems to be loving it. Release date: April 9th.
» Girls on the Verge by Sharon Biggs Waller
I honestly haven’t heard much about this, but I know that Chelsea @ ChelseaDolling Reads really liked it, so I added it to my tbr and was then really anticipating it! From my understanding, Girls on the Verge follows a teenage girl as she goes on a road trip with a couple friends to get an abortion. I think this is going to be a super important, really timely read and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Release date: April 9th.
There are my most anticipated April releases! I’ve seen a few posts already with anticipated releases but haven’t seen these ones mentioned much, so I’m hoping I’ve at least introduced you to one book you perhaps hadn’t heard of before this post.
Tell me what you’re most excited to read in April!
Thanks so much for reading!
